India received $11 billion in remittances from US: Pew Research
India ranks third after Mexico (USD 24 billion) and China (USD 16 billion) in remittances from the US in 2015, Pew Research Centre said in its latest report.

Worldwide, an estimated $582 billion was sent by migrants to relatives in their home countries in 2015, a 2% decline from 2014, when the amount was $592 billion. This is the first drop in global remittances since 2009, when they fell by $8 billion amid the global financial crisis.
