Italian automaker Lamborghini has announced its first non-fungible token (NFT)project.

Lamborghini teamed up with an artist to create five pairs of physical and digital art.

The physical part is five thumbnail-sized pieces of carbon fibre called space keys.

These are shaped and made from samples of carbon fibre that Lamborghini had sent to the ISS.

The fibre spent seven months on board the International Space Station for a research project.

Each space key will have a digital twin piece of art created by Swiss artist Fabian Oefner.

Each space-themed artwork can be accessed by scanning a QR code on the corresponding space key.
