YouTube India CPMs could rise as connected TV advertising grows | Gunjan Soni | Tech Pulse

India is one of YouTube’s biggest audiences, but creator CPMs remain relatively low compared with global markets. ET Digital’s Dhruv Mohan spoke to Gunjan Soni, Country VP, YouTube, about where creator monetisation in India is headed.Gunjan talks about how YouTube is expanding opportunities for creators through affiliate programmes, including cross-border affiliations where creators can tag products sold outside India and earn commissions in converted dollar rates.She also explains why brand partnerships are becoming an increasingly important part of the creator economy, beyond advertising revenue alone.On the CPM question, Gunjan says she is positive that rates can gradually increase as more content consumption moves to connected TVs, where advertising revenue and CPMs are higher.
