Triple talaq by postcard case: Police verifying marriage's legality in Hyderabad
In connection to the case of a Muslim man divorcing his wife by post, the Hyderabad Police said that investigation is underway to verify if the couple’s marriage was legal or not. The 38-year-old accused had allegedly mailed the triple talaq postcard to his 26-year-old wife earlier. Triple talaq allows Muslim men to get an instant divorce by saying the word 'talaq' thrice.
