Sensex surges over 100 pts; Nifty50 tops 9,150
Benchmark indices saw a strong start, as global focus shifted to earnings. At 9.30 am, the BSE Sensex was trading 169.6 points, or 0.58 per cent, at 29,583.34. The index had hit a high of 29,607.49 and low of 29,487.78 in early trade. The Nifty50 added 4.25 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 9,241.25.
