Sensex, Nifty start on a negative note; Infosys slips 2%
Domestic equity markets opened in red after IT major Infosys reported nearly 3 per cent quarter-on-quarter fall in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 64.11 points, or 0.22 per cent, down at 29579.37 in early trade around 9.22 am (IST), while the 50-share NSE Nifty index was down 13.70 points, or 0.15 per cent, at 9189.75.
