'Save Texas, Save America from Sharia Law jihad': Chip Roy pleads in House over illegal immigration
A group of Republicans is requesting detailed deportation data from Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin. U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Austin, leads the group that sent a letter directly to Mullin requesting accurate numbers of arrests, removals and other immigration enforcement activities for congressional review. The recent $70 billion immigration enforcement bill signed into law means that deportation flights like ones from Harlingen International Airport in South Texas can continue at least through the end of President Donald Trump’s second term in office.
