Private credit and venture debt are luring domestic investors hunting for returns as equities stay flat. B Gopkumar, MD & CEO, Axis Mutual Fund, flags the catch: these products have not been through a cycle in India, with portfolios yet to see even 12 to 24 months of ageing. Globally, older funds have already felt the pain, he says.
