'Patriotism and raw horsepower': Trump announces Freedom 250 IndyCar race around DC streets

U.S. President Donald Trump previewed an IndyCar race on Monday (July 13) expected to take place around D.C.'s National Mall next month. Flanked by IndyCar series drivers alongside motorsports and government representatives, Trump likened the race the recent UFC fight in front of the White House, promising record-breaking ratings. Trump's announcement included a demonstration pit stop in the White House, held in front of the President himself. Scheduled for August 22nd and 23rd, the race will run through Pennsylvania Avenue, 3rd Street, Independence Avenue, 7th and 9th streets.
