Only 8% of Indians watch movies in cinemas, says Cinepolis India MD

Are cinema halls losing relevance in the streaming era? Cinepolis India Managing Director Devang Sampat doesn't think so. Speaking on ET Titan Talks, he says the big-screen experience remains unmatched, as audiences enjoy watching films together in a theatre. He also highlights India's massive growth potential, noting that the country has just eight cinema screens per million people and only about 8% of Indians currently watch movies in theatres.
