'McConnell is very disloyal': Trump's BRUTAL takedown of two top Republicans amid ongoing MAGA war
President Trump offered stark criticism of Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday, calling him an “angry man” and launching into his grievances with the former Senate Republican Leader from the Oval Office. Asked whether there would be enough support from Republicans in Congress for a supplemental bill to fund the Iran war, Trump said he hoped so. But when it was pointed out that some Republicans, including McConnell, don’t see the bill’s passage as likely, Trump unleashed a spew of insults against the longest-ever serving Kentucky senator. “Well, McConnell’s an angry man, and he, you know, got thrown out of his position. He’s an angry guy,” Trump said, referring to McConnell stepping down as Senate Republican Leader in 2024, to be succeeded by Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.). “He’s an angry man who is very disloyal to John Thune … Mitch McConnell’s a bad guy, and I thought he was lousy at his job.”
