Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy testified before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development over the President’s 2027 budget request amid rising gas prices and growing infrastructure concerns. The hearing also focused on funding for the massive Gateway transit project connecting New York Penn Station and Newark, New Jersey, as well as transportation and security planning for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
