DUSU elections 2026: Safety, hostels, metro passes top ABVP-NSUI agenda

Voting is underway for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) Elections 2026, with counting scheduled for September 19. ABVP presidential candidate Yash Dabas highlighted hostel and PG safety audits, new girls’ hostels and a student accommodation helpline. NSUI vice-presidential candidate Vir Chatrath focused on hostels, metro concession passes and college-specific issues, while claiming Gen Z support for NSUI. The election campaign has put student safety and accommodation at the centre of the contest.
