'Delulu' takes over Lok Sabha: Tejasvi Surya, Supriya Sule clash over who has Gen Z's support

A Gen Z slang term made its way into the Lok Sabha during the debate on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026. BJP MP Tejasvi Surya said there was ‘no bigger Delulu’ than believing the youth stood with the Opposition, accusing rival parties of using paper leak issues for political gains. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule responded immediately, questioning the use of trendy slang in Parliament before turning the phrase back on the ruling benches, saying, ‘You too don't be in Delulu that the youth are with you.’ The exchange sparked one of the lighter yet politically charged moments of the parliamentary debate.
