CJP leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka released after pledging no Jantar Mantar protests

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were ordered to be released from judicial custody on Wednesday after submitting written undertakings to maintain peace and refrain from calling protests at Jantar Mantar until the site is de-notified in accordance with law. Special Executive Magistrate Ritu Raj ordered their release after they furnished personal bonds and surety bonds of ₹50,000 each. The SEM said further custody was not necessary at this stage, while the inquiry into the Jantar Mantar trespassing case will continue.
