'Brick by Brick, Chip by Chip': PM Modi says his semiconductor dream for India is now reality

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated CG Semi's Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, calling it another milestone in India's semiconductor journey. He said commercial chip packaging has now begun at the country's third semiconductor plant and highlighted the goal of producing up to 500 crore chips annually. Modi also recalled drawing up plans for a semiconductor plant in Gujarat nearly two decades ago, saying India's long-term vision is now becoming reality under the Semicon India programme.
