7-member gang caught with Rs 1 crore demonetised currency in Vijayawada

The Andhra Pradesh Police nabbed a seven-member gang with Rs 1 crore demonetised currency in Vijayawada. The gang members, including three women, were trying to exchange the notes when the police caught them. Joint Commissioner of Police, BV Ramana Kumar, held a press conference, in which he informed that the seized cash belonged to a Chennai-based person named Jaya Chandran. Further investigation is underway in connection to the case.
