Sumit Antil and Bhagyashri Jadhav will serve as India's flagbearers in the opening ceremony. India's campaign begins on Thursday with para archery, where Harvinder Singh, a Tokyo Paralympics bronze medallist, will compete in the men's recurve ranking round. Sarita will take part in the women's compound open category.
In para badminton, Krishna Nagar will commence his title defence in the men's singles SH6 category. Sivarajan Solaimalai and Nithya Sre Sivan will also compete on the first day.
India has achieved a total of 31 medals across the previous 11 editions of the Paralympic Games. The Tokyo 2020 Paralympics was India's most successful campaign to date, securing 19 medals, including five gold, eight silver, and six bronze.
