The Indian cricket team ended a 17-year drought in the final match against South Africa in Barbados, reclaiming their status as the T20 winners. South Africa was defeated by India by 7 runs.
Virat Kohli helped India's play on Saturday by scoring a record-breaking 76 runs off of just 59 balls, following up his 34 for three wickets during the powerplay. This resulted in India defeating South Africa on Saturday with a final score of 176 for seven wickets.
When South Africa needed to score 16 runs in the final over, Suryakumar Yadav made the ideal catch off a David Miller hit.
Following a tough final match on Saturday, the squad led by Rohit Sharma celebrated for almost four hours at the Kensington Oval stadium in Barbados, West Indies.
