MI-W vs DC-W Pitch & Weather Report: What to expect for the WPL 2025 match in Vadodara

The second match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 will see Mumbai Indians (MI) face off against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday at Vadodara.

The opening match of WPL 2025 at Kotambi Stadium saw history being made, with defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) becoming the first team to successfully chase down a 200-plus total in WPL history.

DC, led by Australian legend Meg Lanning, and MI, captained by India’s Harmanpreet Kaur, previously met in the 2023 final, where MI emerged victorious. DC reached the final again last year but was defeated by RCB, while MI was knocked out in the play-offs by the same team. Both teams have been the most consistent in the WPL, with Mumbai slightly ahead 3-2 in their head-to-head encounters.


MI has suffered an injury setback, with Pooja Vastrakar ruled out of the tournament and replaced by U-19 World Cup winner Parunika Sisodia. Delhi, however, has no major injury concerns.
