Kashvee, a right-arm seamer who can also use the long handle, first came into spotlight when in 2020 took ten wickets, including a hat-trick, in a one-day match versus Arunachal Pradesh in the women's domestic Under-19 match in One-Day Trophy in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The 20-year-old has played 24 T20 matches in which she has picked 22 wickets. Interestingly, Kashvee Gautam had remained unsold in last year's auction, according to a CrinInfo report.
Karnataka batter Vrinda Dinesh was also surprise big pick in the Women's Premier League (WPL) season two auction as the uncapped player was picked up by UP Warriorz on Saturday for Rs 1.3 crore.
Both Kashvee and Vrinda had recently featured for India A in their three-match series against England A.
Kashvee Gautam, who was part of Team India's Under-23 squad for Hong Kong ACC Emerging tournament, has bagged 12 wickets in seven matches at an economy rate of 4.14 runs per over in the this year's Women's Senior domestic T20 Trophy.
After the WPL auction, the spotlight will be on Kashvee Gautam, who is set to lead the Chandigarh women’s under-23 team for the forthcoming T20 tournament to be held in Mumbai on December 10, according to a report.
