NEW DELHI: In a warm gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his best wishes to players ahead of the Cricket World Cup 2015, which begins on February 14, 2015. Players like Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, among others promptly responded on Twitter.

PM Modi also tweeted his wishes to the five SAARC Nations that will be taking part in the world cup. "Spoke to (Afghan) President Ashraf Ghani, (Bangladesh) Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and (Sri Lankan) President (Maithripala) Sirisena. Conveyed my best wishes for the Cricket World Cup," Modi tweeted.
