A video of Rohit displaying the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy upon arrival in India is now trending online.
The team will stay at the ITC Maurya in Delhi for a while before heading to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office, where a small function is organised. After meeting PM Modi, the players will travel to Mumbai for an open bus parade at Marine Drive.
On Wednesday (July 3), Rohit Sharma and BCCI secretary Jay Shah invited fans to join the historic parade on X (formerly Twitter).
“We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 p.m. onwards. It’s coming home,” Rohit tweeted.
“Join us for the Victory Parade honouring Team India’s World Cup win! Head to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards to celebrate with us! Save the date! #TeamIndia #Champions @BCCI @IPL,” Jay Shah wrote.
