The high-octane India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium began with a viral blunder on Sunday;.

Before the match began, the organisers played "Jalebi Baby" song instead of the Pakistani national anthem. The error left Pakistani players confused before the correct anthem was played soon.

The incident has sparked criticism and jokes at the same time on social media.


As per videos on social media, the song that was initially played appears to be the intro of "Jalebi Baby" by Jason Derulo.


The blunder went viral immediately but the cricket continued as usual.

Pakistan captain Salman Agha won the toss and elected to bat first. However, his team got off to a poor start, losing a wicket of the first ball of the match. The team struggled to 127/9 as Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets.

India chased the target comfortably with a seven wicket win with 25 balls to spare.
