In a stunning display of prowess, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's former captain and Indian cricket stalwart, Virat Kohli, has scripted history yet again in the IPL and has joined an elite club.

During RCB's clash against Punjab Kings in Dharamshala, Kohli became only the second player to amass over 600 runs in four separate IPL seasons, sharing this feat with Lucknow Super Giants' skipper KL Rahul.

Kohli's scintillating innings of 92 runs off just 47 balls, with seven fours and six sixes, propelled him to this remarkable achievement, executed at a blistering strike rate of 195.74. This stellar performance further solidified Kohli's position in the Orange Cap standings, amassing an impressive 634 runs in 12 matches this season, with an average of 70.44 and a formidable strike rate of 153.51.


His batting brilliance this season includes a century and five fifties, with a highest score of 113*.

Kohli's previous seasons with 600-plus runs include remarkable displays in 2023, 2016, and 2013, showcasing his consistency and dominance in the IPL.

Aside from this milestone, Kohli also surpassed scoring 1,000 runs against Punjab Kings, showing pure class not just against the franchise but the tournament.

Remarkably, Kohli has achieved the feat of amassing over 1,000 runs against three different opponents in the IPL, a testament to his batting excellence and versatility.

With this remarkable feat, Kohli becomes one of the most prolific run-scorers in IPL history, amassing a staggering 7,897 runs in 249 matches, with an average of 38.71 and an impressive strike rate of 131.63.
