Virat Kohli hits his first half-century of T20 World Cup to resurrect India's innings

Before the final, Virat Kohli struggled throughout the tournament but he made his presence felt after India lost three quick wickets. Kohli stitched the most important partnership with Axar Patel to revive India's innings.

India's star batter Virat Kohli once again showed his class as he hit a 50 under tremendous pressure to resurrect India's innings. India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first against South Africa on Saturday in the final of 2024 T20 World Cup.

Before the final, Virat Kohli struggled throughout the tournament but he made his presence felt after India lost three quick wickets. Kohli stitched the most important partnership with Axar Patel to revive India's innings.

India lost the wickets of skipper Rohit Sharma (9), Rishabh Pant (0) and Suryakumar Yadav (3) in quick succession.


For South Africa, left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj took two wickets.
