NORTH SOUND (ANTIGUA): India's Virat Kohli today crossed the 3000-run mark while batting on day one of the first Test against the West Indies here today.

Kohli, playing his 42nd Test, took 73 innings to reach the milestone behind Virender Sehwag (55 innings), Mohammad Azharuddin (64), Sunil Gavaskar (66), Gautam Gambhir (66), Rahul Dravid (67), Sachin Tendulkar (67) and Navjot Singh Sidhu (70).

Kohli has scored 11 hundreds in the five-day format to go with 12 half centuries.
