U19 World Cup 2024: Australia beat Pakistan to set up title clash with defending champions India

In a thrilling semi-final encounter, Australia topped Pakistan by 1 wicket to set up a final clash with India. Batting first, Pakistan put 179/10 on board as Azan Awais and Arafat Minhas scored half-centuries, but defending 180 was always going to be a tough task against a formidable team like Australia.

For Australia, opener Harry Dixon scored 50 off 75 balls, and later Oliver Peake hit a vital 49 off 75 to keep the team on the hunt.

In Pakistan's bowling department, Ali Raza was the best performer, taking four wickets while conceding 34 runs in his 10 overs. Arafat Minhas also backed up his 52 with figures of 2/20.
