During the high-stakes clash between Bengaluru and Punjab, Virat Kohli exchanging words with Harpreet Brar has caught the attention of the fans.

In the heat of the chase, Kohli was heard saying, “20 saal ho gaye cricket khelte hue, aese stump thodi na ho jaunga. Tere coach ko bhi janta hoon (I’ve been playing cricket for 20 years, I’m not going to get out like that. I even know your coach).”

The clip quickly went viral, with fans debating whether the comment was classic Kohli aggression or a step too far.

Padikkal reached his first fifty of IPL 2025 in just 30 balls, with four boundaries and three sixes, and he continued his streak of fine attacking knocks in the tournament.

Padikkal continued to pick apart pacers, bringing up the 100-run stand in 65 balls.

However, the 103-run stand between Padikkal and Virat was ended by Harpreet Brar, with Nehal Wadhera getting a safe catch at long-on. The left-hander departed for 61 in 35 balls, with five fours and four sixes. RCB was 109/2 in 12.3 overs.

Anchoring yet another successful chase with his well-calculated knock, batting star Virat Kohli says the strategy of him holding one end tight while others play in their usual aggressive style is working well for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB won their fifth away game in as many matches with Kohli scoring an unbeaten 73 off 54 balls in a chase of 158 against Punjab Kings.

The win came less than 48 hours losing to the same opponents.

Kohli shared a 103-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal (61) to crush the hosts by seven wickets.

Kohli said he could continue to be the fulcrum of the side around whom the other players could build their innings as the batting great scored his fourth half-century of the season, taking RCB to third position with 10 points from five victories.
