Tata Group bags Women's Premier League title sponsorship rights till 2027
The first edition will be played in Mumbai at two venues, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium. The sale of media rights had fetched BCCI Rs 951 crore and the five teams were sold for Rs 4700 crore.

The Tata Group has bagged the title sponsorship rights for the Women's Premier League (WPL) for five seasons, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Tuesday.
The salt-to-software conglomerate will have the title sponsorship rights from February 15, 2023 to July 31, 2027, or until 30 days after the completion of the WPL Season 2027.
The BCCI had released the tender for the acquisition of WPL title rights on January 28. The last date for the purchase of the tender document was February 9, while the deadline for the submission of proposals was February 11.
As per the tender document, the financial eligibility for participating in the bidding was an average audited annual turnover of ?100 crore in the last three years.
The Tata Group is also the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It had replaced handset maker Vivo as the title sponsor for two years. It is paying ?600 crore for the two-year IPL title sponsorship rights.
