Ireland's stand-incaptain Lorcan Tucker scored a superb unbeaten 94 as they hammered Oman by 96 runs to register their first Group B win at the T20 World Cup.It propelled Ireland to the tournament's highest score of 235-5, the second biggest total in the history of the men's T20 World Cup. Oman were never remotely in the chase at Colombo's Sinhalese Sports Club and were bundled out for 139 in 18 overs.
SA make short work of NZ
Aiden Markram smashed a blazing fifty as South Africa steamrolled New Zealand by 7 wickets to all but qualify for the Super 8s on Saturday. New Zealand rode on a counter-attacking 74-run stand between Mark Chapman (48) and Daryl Mitchell (32) to post 175 for 7 after being asked to bat. The Proteas were in a real hurry as they chased down the 176-run target in 17.1 overs for their third consecutive victory.
