Here are the scenarios in which Pakistan can secure the second spot in Group A and progress to the 'Super 8s':

If USA beats Ireland:
USA will earn six points, securing their place in the 'Super 8s', alongside India.

If Ireland beats USA:
Although this outcome keeps Ireland mathematically in contention, Pakistan's chances improve as USA's run-rate would further diminish, giving Pakistan an opportunity to advance with a victory over Ireland.

If the USA vs Ireland match is washed out:
USA will gain five points, advancing to the 'Super 8s', making the remaining group matches inconsequential.

India vs Canada:
If USA defeats Ireland, this match becomes irrelevant. Otherwise, Canada must defeat India by a significant margin to challenge USA's position, which is improbable. If India wins, Canada is eliminated.

If Pakistan beats Ireland:
This result only matters if USA loses to Ireland. If not, the outcome of the Pakistan vs Ireland match becomes irrelevant. Pakistan's hope rests on Ireland defeating USA, allowing Pakistan to secure the second spot based on net run rate.

If the Pakistan vs Ireland match is washed out:
