T20 WC faces uncertainty as Pakistan skips India fixture; ICC issues ‘final ultimatum’ to PCB
Pakistan’s call to boycott the pivotal match against India in the upcoming T-20 World Cup has created ripples amid the cricketing fraternity. Hours after Pakistan decided to boycott the group match, ICC firmly criticized the management’s decision warning PCB of long-term repercussions. In an official statement ICC said that "selective participation" is not fair with the "fundamental premise of a global sporting event". The Global Body stated that it expects the PCB to explore a mutually acceptable resolution, which protects the interests of all stakeholders. Pakistan’s decision can further harm the already suffering cricket board if ICC decides to take strict action against the board.
