KOLKATA: In a setback for Mohun Bagan, it's top official Srinjoy Bose today quit from the post of assistant general secretary even as the 125-year-old football club said they're yet to take a call on the resignation.

"We've received his resignation papers but we're yet to take a decision. We'll hold a meeting to take a call," Mohun Bagan general secretary Anjan Mitra told reporters.

The development came days after the Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP, who was booked by the CBI in November for his alleged links to the Saradha chit fund scam, had resigned from the Upper House of the Parliament and also from the Trinamool Congress.

Bose resigned from the Rajya Sabha and also from the TMC after he was granted conditional bail by a city sessions court.
