Sri Lanka Women vs Bangladesh Women Playing 11: Will the struggling teams try something new?

The Women's World Cup will arrive to Navi Mumbai with Sri Lanka taking on Bangladesh at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Monday at 3 pm.

Sri Lanka have not won a single match in the tournament so far, but are still mathematically alive, riding on rain-affected results in other matches. However, their net run rate is a major concern. A big win against Bangladesh could prove to be decisive and could bring belief ahead of their final league clash at home against Pakistan.

The co-host's campaign in the eight-team tournament has been hampered by persistent rains in Colombo, and the side would be looking to play a full-fledged match after moving out of the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka are seventh in the points table with two points from five matches


Bangladesh, on the other hand, have put in a spirited campaign, starting with a memorable win over Pakistan and pushing both England and South Africa before falling short. They were, however, thrashed by Australia in their last outing. They team has shown enough fight to suggest they can challenge Sri Lanka. However, history is against them, with no wins against their opponent in an ODI.
