The highly anticipated Super Eight clash between Pakistan national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team was abandoned without a single ball bowled on Saturday in Colombo. Persistent rain ensured the match never got underway, frustrating fans and teams alike.

With the first encounter of the Super Eight stage called off, attention now shifts to the second Group 2 fixture.

Sri Lanka vs England: Weather Concerns Loom Again

Co-hosts Sri Lanka national cricket team are set to face England cricket team at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Sunday afternoon.


However, the weather forecast for Pallekele remains far from encouraging. Rain and thunderstorms are predicted as the day progresses, with overcast conditions expected throughout. For the second consecutive day, weather threatens to play spoilsport in the Super Eight stage.

The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM IST, but delays or interruptions appear likely if conditions worsen.
