MUMBAI: VEQTA, Indian dedicated sports OTT service, has acquired the broadcasting rights for the much-awaited boxing bout between the two biggest stars Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, which will be aired in India on Sunday August 27 at 9 am.

VEQTA, as the official broadcaster of the fight in India, will live stream the fight only on its digital platform and its Android and IOS Apps. This will be the first global mega sports event to be OTT first in India.

The event, which will take place in the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, US, will be available for an annual subscription for Rs 99.

Gaurav Gill, co-founder, VEQTA, said, “We will be live streaming all the action on VEQTA.in and the VEQTA Android & IOS Apps. Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor is a match that pits the legendary boxer against the all-time MMA great in a one of its kind event.”

The under-card fights will be broadcast Live on the platform from 6:30 am onwards and all fights will also be available on the platform for sports fans to view on a video-on-demand basis after the event.
