Ganguly responded: "Sachin's greatness, Virat's aggressiveness, and Dhoni's calmness." When queried about a quality he possesses that the three legends don't, Ganguly promptly replied, "adjustment," earning applause from the audience.

Ganguly recently expressed support for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to be part of India's T20I World Cup squad in June. Despite a 14-month absence from T20Is, Ganguly endorsed Rohit as the team's captain and insisted that Kohli should also be included. The duo, absent since the T20I World Cup semifinal defeat to England on November 10, may make a comeback in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan starting January 11. Ganguly also praised Yashasvi Jaiswal's performance in the South Africa Test series, assuring the young opener of ample opportunities in the future. Despite India's loss at Centurion, they made a strong comeback, winning the Cape Town Test by seven wickets in the shortest-ever Test match.
