After hosting two matches at Guwahati, Rajasthan Royals are set to play their first match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur when they take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at 3:30 pm on Sunday.

The home team RR, led by Sanju Samson, started their season with back-to-back losses but picked up some momentum to win the next two. However, in their last match, they suffered a big loss against table-toppers Gujarat Titans and are now stranded at the number seven position in the points table after five matches. RR's batting and bowling has been inconsistent this year, with openers Samson and Jaiswal not being able to convert starts. Riyan Parag has played a couple of good innings but there has not been a big knock. Dhruv Jurel has also looked good in patches, while Shimron Hetmyer is batting down to order to make any impact. With Jofra Archer looking good and Sandeep Sharma as good as he has ever been, their bowling looks to be in a better place. However, they will want the third pacer in Tushar Deshpande to join the party. Sri Lankan spin duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana have been expensive but have provided crucial breakthroughs.

On the other hand, RCB started their season with two back-to-back wins, but have since lost two of their next three games and are currently at the number four spot with six points from five games. Their openers, Virat Kohli and Phil Salt have looked in good touch but have thrown it away more often. Devdutt Padikkal has played a couple of cameos but struggled in the previous match, while Rajat Patidar has been their best batter. Jitesh Sharma and Tim David have given good finishes but Liam Livingstone is a cause of concern. The bowling has looked good with the pace trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood an Yash Dayal providing regular wickets, while spinner Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya have also done their part.

With both teams coming from a defeat, it remains to be seen if they make any changes to the playing 11.
