Former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has created another record. During an Indian Premier League match, Rohit became the only second player to have 1000 runs against the Delhi Capitals. Viral Kohli, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore, was the first player to score 1000 runs against Delhi Capitals.

Rohit Sharma, who plays for Mumbai Indians, made 49 off just 27 balls in today's match against Delhi Capitals. Before this innings, Rohit had amassed 977 runs in 33 innings at an average of 32.56, while Kohli had scored 1030 runs in 27 innings, boasting an impressive average of 51.50 against Delhi.

Rohit has also scored over 1000 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. On the other hand, Kohli has achieved the same feat against Chennai Super Kings. DC's opener David Warner has also scored 1000+ runs against both Punjab Kings and KKR.

During Sunday's match, Delhi won the toss and elected to field first at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

The world's top-ranked T20 batsman, Suryakumar Yadav, returned to competitive cricket after a four-month hiatus. He recently received clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) following rehabilitation for a sports hernia surgery undergone in December.

DC made two changes to their playing eleven, with pacer Jhye Richardson replacing the injured Mitchell Marsh, and all-rounder Lalit Yadav coming in for Rasikh Dar.
