As part of their ongoing unofficial Test tour, the England Lions are presently touring India. The decision to include Rinku Singh in the India 'A' squad was conveyed through an official statement from the BCCI.
"The Men’s Selection Committee has added Rinku Singh to India ‘A’ squad for the second four-day match against England Lions to be played in Ahmedabad from 24th January," BCCI said in a release.
Abhimanyu Easwaran will lead the India 'A' squad in the upcoming four-day match. Notably, Rinku Singh had previously been included in the lineup for the third matchm which is set to commence on February 1.
The 26-year-old Rinku Singh boasts an impressive record, accumulating 3109 runs in 44 first-class matches. His stellar performance reflects an outstanding average of 57.57, featuring seven centuries and 20 half-centuries.
The confirmed India 'A' squad for the second four-day match includes Abhimanyu Easwaran (Captain), Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Tilak Varma, Kumar Kushagra, Washington Sundar, Sourabh Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Tushar Deshpande, Vidwath Kaverappa, Upendra Yadav, Akash Deep, Yash Dayal, and Rinku Singh.
