Reetika Hooda of India did not advance to the semi-final round of the woman 76kg freestyle category at the Paris Olympics 2024 after losing in the quarterfinals to Kyrgyzstan's World Number One wrestler Aiperi Medet Kyzy. However, she may still be able to compete for the bronze medal.

According to the rules, she may only compete for bronze if Kyrgyz wrestler Aiperi Medet Kyzy advances to the final round. So, if Aiperi Medet Kyzy advances to the final round, Reetika Hooda will face the semi-finalist's opponent.

The wrestlers engaged in an aggressive first round matchup from the start. After India won the first round 1-0 after the 30-second timer regulation, Reetika Hooda took the lead.

Nevertheless, in the second round, Kyzy attempted to exert dominance over Reetika Hooda while still holding the advantage. After the 30-second timer rule favored Kyrgyz wrestler Aiperi Medet Kyzy, the scores were tied at one. Kyzy was proclaimed the winner since she had the final point.
