Reality bites: Barcelona's newest signing Luis Suarez talks candid in his new book

In his new autobiography, Crossing the Line: My Story, Luis Suarez has revealed why he bit his three opponents - Ottman Bakkal in 2010, Branislav Ivanovic in 2013 and Giorgio Chiellini in 2014 – what was going through his mind during that time, and his reactions thereafter. LUIS SUAREZ plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona and the Uruguayan national team as a striker. He moved to Barca in 2014 at a price of €81 million which made him the third most expensive player in football history after Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.


Cristiano Ronaldo This brilliant striker started his club career with Uruguayan club Nacional in 2005 before moving to Groningen in the Netherlands in 2006 and to Ajax in 2007. He joined Liverpool in 2011, playing 110 matches for the English club and scoring 69 goals. He debuted for Barcelona on Saturday night.



He has played 79 games for his national side and scored 42 goals. He was a part of the 2010 team that reached the world cup semifinals and finished fourth. He has been the game’s one of the most controversial figures and apart from biting his opponents, he has been found guilty of diving (gaining unfair advantage over the opponent by faking a dive) and for racially abusing Patrice Evra. He was also handed a red card during the 2010 WC for what replays showed was a deliberate hand-ball.
