Ravi Shastri has been appointed the new coach of the Indian cricket team, according to various reports. Shastri, who served as the team director from 2014 to 2016, pipped Virender Sehwag and Tom Moody to be appointed the coach, and his equation with Kohli was said to be the deciding factor.
