This alliance not only strengthens PUMA's presence in the cricketing arena but also marks a significant step in tapping into the vibrant sporting culture of the capital city, Puma said in a release.
"Delhi is emerging as a huge magnet to sporting talent with an inimitable fanbase that has a pulse on the city’s soul and local culture," said Karthik Balagopalan, Managing Director, PUMA India.
With a focus on expanding its reach and engagement among the fan base of Delhi Capitals, PUMA aims to leverage this multi-year association to connect with the growing pool of talent in the region. Being a franchise that focusses on young cricketing talent has always been crucial for us, which makes our association with a youth brand like PUMA an organic one," said Sukhvinder Singh, interim CEO, Delhi Capitals.
As the kit partner, PUMA's logo will feature on the 'leading arm' of both the men's and women's teams' jerseys of Delhi Capitals. The design of the jersey contain elements inspired by the iconic Delhi Metro Rail route map.
In addition to the jerseys, PUMA will provide the players with training wear, accessories, travel gear, and athleisure attire, maintaining a cohesive design aesthetic throughout.
"We’re excited to have PUMA, a brand that’s shown tremendous commitment towards women’s sports, on board with the Delhi Capitals team," said Jemimah Rodrigues, cricketer and Delhi Capitals’ Vice Captain.
