India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed another double century in the men in blue's test series against England, on the fourth day of the third match in the series, on Sunday.

Playing in Rajkot, the left-hander returned to the crease after retiring hurt on Saturday, the third day of the Test match, having scored 104. The 22-year-old was forced off the pitch with back spasms.

Jaiswal took a single off Joe Root to get to 200 in the second session, earning a standing ovation from the crowd as he celebrated a second consecutive 200 knock in as many Test matches. He hit 14 fours and 12 sixes to make 214 runs.

In the second test, the youngster took charge of the game, scoring a match-winning 209. Sunday's knock puts him clear at the top of the batting charts in the five-match series with more than 500 runs.

He is playing his seventh match and 12th innings in a career that began last year with a debut knock of 171 in the West Indies.

India set England a target of 557 to win after Yashasvi Jaiswal's 214 and Sarfaraz Khan's quick-fire 68 not out powered India to 430 for 4 declared in their second innings. India added 116 runs in 16 overs after lunch, having resumed from 196 for 2, India lost the wickets of Shubman Gill, who missed out on a century by nine runs, and night-watchman Kuldeep Yadav (27).
