The Austria international left Schalke as a free agent in 2015 and headed to England. Had to wait for his chance to impress under Claudio Ranieri, but soon made the left-back spot his own with his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively.
GYLFI SIGURDSSON Returned to British football at Swansea City in 2012 from Hoffenheim. Had previously spent time with Reading, taking in loan spells at Shrewsbury and Crewe. More mature and assured in his game when joining the Swans, he did enough to earn a permanent move to Tottenham.
LEROY SANE One of the most sought-after talents in Europe when Manchester City signed him for £37 million from Schalke in 2016. Still only 21 years of age, he’s seen as an exciting part of the present and future at the Etihad Stadium alongside fellow youngsters Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
