PBKS vs LSG pitch report
Punjab Kings play Lucknow Super Giants in a crucial match at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala at 7:30 pm on Sunday. While PBKS are placed 4th with 13 points in 10 matches, LSG are placed sixth with 10 points in as many games, making it an important encounter for both the teams as the heat for the race to the playoffs rises.

The hosts, PBKS, have been led well by Shreyas Iyer. The openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, have been in top form and have been providing blazing starts, while the captain himself has been contributing crucial runs at number 3. However, there is a concern in the middle order as not much contributions have been made. Shashank Singh has been struggling to get going in the last few matches and Josh Inglis has not given them a big knock. The injury to Glenn Maxwell has also ruled him out for the remainder of the tournament.

The team’s bowling has been reliable, with pacers Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen leading the way. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who picked a hattrick in the previous match will also be high on confidence. However, the search for the third pacer continues as they have juggled between Azmatullah Omarzai, Xavier Bartlett and Vyshak Vijaykumar.

The Rishabh Pant-led LSG have been highly inconsistent this season, having won and lost five matches each. They are also a top-heavy side, with dependence on Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooaran. However, Marsh and Pooran have lost a little form as the tournament has progressed. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad have provided impetus down the order. The worry is with Pant and Miller, who have barely contributed in the tournament so far.

The bowling has also been a huge cause of concern as the pacers have leaked runs regularly. Shardul Thakur, who started with a bang, has now been dropped, while Avesh Khan and Akash Deep have leaked runs. The addition of Mayank Yadav is a positive. Mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi has been their key bowler this season even as Ravi Bishnoi continues to struggle with his rhythm.

PBKS vs LSG Pitch Report: HPCA Stadium Pitch Report

This is the first match at Dharmsala in this year's IPL. The pitch is generally considered batting-friendly with bounce and pace, and ideal stroke to play. Additionally, the high altitude sometimes gives the ball a push to fly high. Seamers may find a little swing, but spinners might struggle to maintain grip.

Dharamsala weather report

There is a possibility of rain during the day from 2 pm to 4 pm. According to the reports, the probability of rain is 70 per cent in the afternoon, which may possibly affect the pitch. However, the weather is expected to improve in the evening as the rain chance drops drastically to 5 per cent. Temperature is most likely to remain between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.
