Paris Olympics: Lakshya Sen's victory 'deleted' as opponent withdraws due to elbow injury
Lakshya Sen's impressive win over Guatemala's Kevin Cordon in the men's singles Group L badminton match at the ongoing Paris Olympics has been annulled due to Cordon's withdrawal from the event because of a left elbow injury.

As reported by Olympics.com, Cordon's withdrawal means that his upcoming Group L matches against Indonesia's Jonatan Christie and Belgium's Julien Carraggi will not be played. Consequently, under BWF General Competition Regulations for group stage play, the result of Sen's match against Cordon has been nullified.

Sen's ranking in the group will now be determined by the outcomes of his remaining two matches. He is set to face Julien Carraggi on July 29 in his next fixture. He will take on Indonesia's Jonatan Christie in his final group match on Wednesday.
