India at Olympics, Day 12 schedule: Mirabai Chanu in weightlifting, Vinesh Phogat in wrestling gold match & lots of athletics action

The Indian contingent will look to start afresh at the day 12 of the Paris Olympics, after a gut-wrenching defeat for the Indian hockey team last night against Germany. A pretty busy and athletics-heavy day awaits with stars like Mirabai Chanu and Vinesh Phogat set to compete in gold medal rounds.

India Olympics Schedule

The day kicks off with the Marathon Race Walk Relay Mixed, a gold medal event where Suraj Panwar and Priyanka will be competing at 11 AM.

Shortly after, at 12:30 PM, the Women's Individual Stroke Play in golf will feature talented players Diksha Dagar and Aditi Ashok.


Table Tennis fans can catch the Women's team event quarterfinals between India and Germany at 1:30 PM, with Manika Batra, Sreeja Akula, and Archana Kamath representing India.

The athletics events begin at 1:35 PM with the Men's High Jump qualification, where Sarvesh Kushare will be competing.

Following this, Jyothi Yarraji will participate in the Women's 100M hurdle at 1:45 PM, and Annu Rani will take part in the Women's Javelin Throw qualification at 1:55 PM.

In wrestling, the Women's freestyle 53 kg event, featuring Antim Panghal, starts at 2:30 PM and continues onwards.

Later in the day, at 10:45 PM, Praveen Chithravel will compete in the Men's Triple Jump final. The excitement continues with Mirabai Chanu in the Women's 49 kg Weightlifting event at 11:00 PM.

In the early hours of August 8, Vinesh Phogat will compete in the Women's Freestyle Gold Medal match at 12:30 AM, followed by Avinash Sable in the Men's 3000M Steeplechase final at 1:13 AM.
